Dr. Fennessy is a member of the Phoebe Sumter Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates, located at 401 South Lee Street, Americus, GA, and is currently accepting patients. To schedule an appointment, please call (229) 924-8841.. A native of Alpharetta, Georgia, Dr. Fennessy earned a B.S. in Biology from the University of Georgia in Athens. She then went on to earn her Medical degree from the Mercer University School of Medicine. In addition, she completed her Internship at the Atlanta Medical Center’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and finished her Residency at Emory University’s Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics. She then went on to serve as an Assistant Professor for the Emory University School of Medicine’s Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Generalist Division, The Emory Clinic, Atlanta, Georgia. Honors and awards include Obstetric Clinical Award, Mercer University, Savannah, Georgia; Bayer National Teaching Award; Chief Administrative Resident, Emory University; Golden Apple Award, Emory University and Excellence in Teaching Faculty Obstetrics, Emory University. Dr. Fennessy is married to John Fennessy, M.D., a local Orthopedic Surgeon, and they have one daughter: Reese (9 months). They are excited to be in Americus and look forward to becoming productive members of the community. |
