Pope led many of the kids on a 1-mile fitness walk from Staley Middle School to the Sumter County Fairgrounds. The kids then participated in a number of drills that were ran by members of the Americus-Sumter High School football squad, with supervision from coach Kedrick Thomas, Pope and NFL All-Pro Marcus McNeil, a lineman for the San Diego Chargers and Atlanta native. Once the drills were over, the kids and their parents were given information on healthy living from Phoebe Sumter and other organizations, and the kids were able to kids their vitals (BP, Ht & Weight) by members of the hospital staff. Thanks for everyone who helped make this event a success, all the sponsors and those who gave donations and their time.
